PRIF Community of Practice webinar: More Walking and Cycling for More Livable Pacific Cities

PRIF has been a dedicated promoter of the Guide to Mobility for Livable Pacific Cities since co-launching it with the World Bank Group in 2024, and we are very excited to continue that momentum in 2026. Join us as we deep dive into one of the Guide's three Game-Changing Goals - "Goal A: Create Livable Streets for People" - and discuss how to make walking and cycling much more popular in Pacific Islands Cities and Towns. We will draw on lessons from the recently completed 2026-2035 Tongatapu Walking and Cycling Strategy and Network Development Plan - the first such plan for a Pacific capital city.

 

This webinar will feature Tongan government, World Bank Group and Arup staff who will talk about the ways that Pacific Island Cities and Towns can take action to make walking and cycling more popular, and the ways that development partners can assist
