The Pacific Infrastructure Conference 2025, held from 18–20 August, brought together over 600 delegates, 40 exhibitors, and approximately 80 speakers to spotlight the region’s evolving infrastructure priorities.
The conference underscored the importance of aligning national infrastructure investment plans with the Pacific 2050 Strategy, and emphasized the role of public project pipelines in attracting robust private sector engagement. Ministerial keynotes reinforced the significance of the Pacific Quality Infrastructure Principles, which promote inclusive, resilient, and locally owned infrastructure development.
A key feature of the event was the presentation by Austrade and the Pacific Region Infrastructure Facility (PRIF) on a comprehensive pipeline of infrastructure projects across 15 Pacific Island countries, valued at approximately US$1.9 billion. These projects span critical sectors including transport, energy, water, ICT, and urban development.
PRIF also participated as an exhibitor, showcasing a suite of knowledge products tailored for Pacific Island countries. These resources support strategic planning, technical guidance, and capacity building—highlighting their practical value for sustainable infrastructure delivery across the region.
